Who is affected by prostatitis


Prostatitis affects men of all ages. It is most common in men younger than 50. It is less common in men 50 to 69, but the incidence increases slightly in men 70 and older.1

The most common types of prostatitis are inflammatory and noninflammatory chronic pelvic pain syndrome, which account for about 90% of prostatitis cases.
